Greg Yaghmai crossing the finish line of the Antarctica marathon with both arms raised

January 2027 · Seven continents

Nobody has done it
three years in a row.

Seven marathons. Seven continents. Seven days. In January 2027 I go back for a third consecutive World Marathon Challenge — something no runner has ever completed. Every dollar raised here goes to KultureCity.

The attempt

Three years. Twenty-one marathons. One record that does not exist yet.

I ran the World Marathon Challenge in 2025, and again the following year. In January 2027 I line up for a third straight year. Runners have finished the challenge three times before — nobody has finished it three years running.

I finished the second one in February 2026 and I was done. I had peace with it. Then the feeling came back and it would not leave me alone — history sitting right there, staring at me. But the record is only the reason people will look. The mission is the reason I am going: getting the word out about what KultureCity is building.

3consecutive years, if I finish

Why KultureCity

Make the Nevers Possible

KultureCity is a Birmingham-based 501(c)(3) working to make public life accessible for people with sensory needs — autism, PTSD, dementia, and more.

Make the Nevers Possible is their motto, and it is the reason this run has the theme it has. Their work is about the things people are told they will never do. Three World Marathon Challenges in three straight years is a never of my own.
